oil on canvas by well known English still life artist Vincent Clare signed lower right. Red, white and blue flowers on a mossy bark. Clare hales from a family of still life painters (all prolific) he lived 1855-1925 and exhibited 1888-1897. Period gilt gesso frame on original stretcher. Untouched canvas. Listed Bénézit Vol#3 p.672, Dictionary of British Artist p.66 and European Artist Signatures and Monograms p.139.

English oil on canvas pastoral landscape with figures and animals in farmyard. Signed middle lower left by Thomas Smythe (1825-1906) Well listed Suffolk artist, younger brother of Edward Smythe, of Ipswich. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and Society of British Artist. Original Stretcher two small patches otherwise in excellent condition. See Suffolk Artists 1750-1930.
